Would you donate a big portion of your pay check to a foundation that says they are excepting donations so they can rescue abused farm animals? I know I wouldn’t! That is exactly what the Compassion organization is trying to convince you to do.
This advertisement is just teeming with words provoking sorrowfulness. The compassion towards farm animals’ organization wants their viewers to feel melancholic to the image of the pig with the face of sadness. They also want their viewers to think about other farm animals being treated terribly. So I do believe my top three tone words for this advertisement, that I’m sure everyone will agree on, are pitiful, sorrowful, and depressing.
Persuasion is the main goal behind this advertisement. By using the image of the pig and the power of words in this ad are drawing in viewers, trying its best to get as many as possible, to donate money to the organization. In big, bold lettering the compassion organization states, “What noise does a piglet make when its teeth are cut off with pliers – without anesthetic? Same as you! Stop cruelty, donate now.” Their purpose is to prick the hearts of viewers in order to get money out of them.
In conclusion, this advertisement is all in all about the Compassion of farm animal’s organization, trying to get money out of people, expressing that the farm animals are being treated wrongly. In the end do you really want to use that pay check to save farm animals that are being “abused”?
